So back in the day when I worked at the BYU MAGICC Lab I would occasionally "go flying" with the rest of the crew. There would always be a problem with something and we would give out a "MacGyver Award" to whoever could pull off some engineering magic to save the day.
Sadly, I was always on the lower end of mechanical skils (I was the code monkey that usually just sat back and watched), so I never got one, but today I was able to pull some mini-magic when I fixed the handle on Emily Blais's car door with a screw driver and some Making Memories wire (talk about fixing something with random crap). I don't know think it's worthy of a full-on "MacGyver Award", but I think it deserves at least an honorable mention.

you are so crafty!
I was looking more for "mechanically inclined" or even "skilled", but I'll take "crafty".
haha, I will give you both mechanically inclined and skilled. That is so dang funny. I nominate you for the award too. (even though I dont know what it is) Thanks again! that was genius!
MacGyver is like a god to those of us fortunate to be around in the early 90's long enough to catch some of that show. Bravo for the nomination -- that's one of those things you can't resist NOT putting on a resume.
Finally, someone who actually appreciates the greatness that is MacGyver.
MacGyver rules. I own all 7 seasons on DVD!
And I thought I was cool for owning the first season of the Transformers cartoon.
Speaking of cool DVDs, I just barely finished the widescreen version of the original Transformers movie. Classic! If only the live action movie had Unicron in it...
